As a tutor, I make an effort to get to know each and every one of my students, because I believe that it is crucial for their success. I like to use examples for my students, because I want them to see how a concept is used, and be able to apply it to real-world situations. There is nothing more rewarding for me than seeing my students have that "aha" moment where they grasp what they are learning. I have always wanted to work with students. I offer tutoring in the following subjects: Elementary and Middle School Math, Reading, Writing, Phonics, Grammar and Mechanics, Art, Handwriting, English, Science 1st-8th Grade, Study Skills and Organization, Special Education, and a variety of test prep help, including for the SSAT and ISEE.I am a graduate of Pennsylvania State University, where I earned a bachelor's degree in Special Education. Later, I went on to get my master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I am also certified in Special Education, as well as a Reading Specialist, and am able to work in English Language Arts for middle school students.In my free time, I love to do arts and crafts, as well as practice dance.
